About Us

Who are Bay Area Ice Dancers

NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION - we are now a 501(c)3 non-profit and tax exempt organization (EIN 82-2263821 & FTB ID 4171814). We have a seven member board of directors who are responsible for running the organization and planning our annual Ice Dance Weekend.
ICE, DANCE, FUN - we are all about ice dancing and promoting this part of figure skating while having fun in a social setting every week. We have beginners to accomplished champions, young and old.
ANNUAL ICE DANCE WEEKEND - we host an annual ice dance weekend every Columbus Day Weekend in October since 1983. We interact with ice dancers around the globe and have a exciting time social dancing with a Friday night theme, on-ice seminars, and lunch and time to chat with friends to end the weekend.

Bay Area Ice Dancers mission is to encourage the instruction, practice and advancement of ice dancing and provide social ice dancing sessions to all ice dancers while providing a communication network for all ice dancers in the San Francisco Bay Area and cultivate a spirit of fraternal feeling among ice skaters and between skating clubs.

For ice dancers with financial needs, an ice dance coach can recommend a candidate for consideration to the Board of Directors for a scholarship to reduce the costs for an ice dancer to participate in our activities. Please contact a Board member for more information.
